We are looking for a detail-oriented Corporate Tax Staff Accountant to join a team on a contract basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this Corporate Tax Staff Accountant role, you will be responsible for preparing and managing various tax filings for clients within the Private Client Services practice group. This Corporate Tax Staff Accountant position requires strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare federal, state, and local tax filings, including fiduciary, individual, and partnership tax returns
Calculate individual estimated tax payments with accuracy and efficiency
Stay informed about changes and updates in tax laws to ensure compliance
Utilize advanced knowledge of accounting software and tools to manage tax-related data and documentation
Collaborate with team members to address client inquiries and provide tailored solutions
Attend training sessions and educational programs required by the firm to enhance skill sets
Ensure proper use of office equipment to support administrative tasks related to tax preparation
Apply analytical skills to identify tax-related issues and propose appropriate resolutions
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client information
Contribute to improving processes within the team and firm to enhance overall efficiency
Requirements:
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting
Proven experience in corporate tax preparation, including fiduciary and partnership tax returns
Proficiency in accounting software and tools such as Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and relevant databases
Strong understanding of sales tax, corporate tax returns, and general ledger management
Ability to create accurate journal entries and reconcile accounts as needed
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Capacity to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to a dynamic environment
Commitment to ongoing skill development and staying current with industry trends
