Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Senior to support tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities for a complex business environment in Vancouver, Washington. This role focuses on corporate income tax matters and requires a strong ability to interpret regulations, prepare accurate filings, and partner with internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings sound technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Job Responsibility
Prepare and review corporate income tax returns, supporting schedules, and related filings to ensure accuracy and timely submission
Analyze tax positions and assess the impact of federal, state, and local tax rules on business operations and reporting
Support quarterly and annual tax provision activities by gathering data, validating calculations, and documenting key assumptions
Partner with finance and accounting teams to reconcile tax accounts and resolve issues affecting compliance or reporting results
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and communicate potential implications for the organization
Maintain organized tax records and workpapers that support filings, audits, and internal review requirements
Assist with responses to tax notices, information requests, and audit inquiries from taxing authorities
Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency, and control across corporate tax activities
Requirements
Strong experience in corporate income tax compliance and reporting
Solid understanding of federal and state corporate tax principles and their practical application
Ability to interpret tax regulations and apply them accurately to business transactions and reporting needs
Proficiency in working with financial data, reconciliations, and supporting tax documentation
High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in deadline-driven environments
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across finance, accounting, and related teams
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field is preferred
