We are in the market for a Corporate Tax Manager to join our team in the Hi Tech industry, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role will entail overseeing and managing all tax aspects of our operations, ensuring compliance with Federal, multi-state, and international tax laws. This role is instrumental in maintaining our company's financial health and making sure we meet our legal obligations.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the preparation and review of company federal tax returns, making sure they are filed accurately and on time
  • Ensure the accurate and timely filing of all business-related filings, including consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures and implement them
  • Formulate and execute strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes
  • Work collaboratively with our external accounting firm on yearly tax returns
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
  • Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits, including preparing responses and creating schedules
  • Keep an eye on legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation
  • Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects
  • Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections
  • Monitor current and impending changes to tax regulations and updates to policies and strategies

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the Hi Tech Engineering industry
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and ATX Tax Software
  • Demonstrated ability to handle Annual Income Tax Provision
  • Proven experience in Auditing and Compliance
  • Familiarity with CCH ProSystem fx - International Tax and International Tax Compliance
  • Experience with Multi-state Tax and Sales Tax
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
  • Proficiency in Partnership Tax
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
