Job Description:

Corporate Tax Manager | Gloucester | £50,000 - £65,000

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage your own portfolio of corporate clients and contribute to workflow planning across the team
  • Deliver high-quality compliance while supporting on advisory assignments in collaboration with senior leaders
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
  • Support business growth by identifying opportunities within your portfolio and bringing work into the team
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, contributing to team capability, engagement, and quality
  • Oversee a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of compliance work
  • Support Tax Partners and Senior Managers in delivering advisory services (e.g. group structuring, R&D, capital allowances, transaction support)
  • Review corporation tax returns and provide technical guidance to junior team members
  • Act as a day-to-day contact for clients, including attending meetings and handling queries
  • Take an active role in coaching, mentoring, and managing junior staff, including input into appraisals and development plans
  • Help identify opportunities for new or additional work within existing client relationships
  • Keep abreast of technical changes and contribute to maintaining the team's knowledge and standards

Requirements:

  • CTA / ACA / ACCA / CA qualified (or qualified by experience)
  • Solid corporate tax experience within a UK accountancy practice
  • Strong technical knowledge with the ability to interpret and apply tax legislation
  • Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
  • Confidence in reviewing work and guiding more junior team members
  • A proactive mindset and interest in contributing to a collaborative team culture
