Job Description:

We are representing a leading organization seeking a skilled Corporate Tax Accountant with a focus on State and Local Tax (SALT) and business license compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tax professional to join a dynamic corporate tax department and support multi-state compliance for a complex business structure.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and file state and local income, franchise, gross receipts, and business license tax returns
Monitor filing requirements and ensure compliance with state and local regulations
Conduct tax research to support compliance and planning initiatives
Assist with audits and respond to state/local tax notices
Maintain tax calendars and support tax provision calculations
Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and operations teams

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2–5+ years of experience in corporate tax, with a strong focus on SALT
CPA or CPA-eligible, preferred
Familiarity with multi-state compliance and business license filing requirements
Experience with tax software
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
