The Corporate Strategy Consultant helps set long-range corporate strategy, track industry trends, evaluate internal & external market opportunities, and support leadership in aligning resources to deliver on those strategies. This position works with leaders from across the company to establish and clearly communicate the company’s long-range strategy. On an ad-hoc basis, this position also regularly supports key strategic initiatives throughout the company. This person is also responsible for supporting a collaborative environment that promotes positive teamwork where all members are working for the good of Exact Sciences.
Job Responsibility:
Support the strategy and executive teams as they make key strategic decisions
Prepare and present high-quality presentations for internal and external audiences
Advise business leaders by providing data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities
Work in collaboration with other business leaders to drive decisions based on data, facts, and analytical findings across the organization
Build and maintain models to support fact-based decision making with regards to long range planning, budgeting, and forecasting
Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research to aid the prioritization of corporate strategies (new products, product expansions, M&A, etc.)
Evaluate individual market opportunities by assessing clinical need, reimbursement outlook, estimating market size, understanding product capabilities
Demonstrate qualitative and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information or unexpected circumstances
Strong business acumen
Regular and reliable attendance
Ability to work nights and/or weekends
Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day
Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously
Ability and means to travel between Madison locations
Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience working in a core business function (e.g., operations, facilities, finance, legal, human resources, etc.), with demonstrated ability to effectively contribute toward team goals
1+ years of experience working in corporate strategy, investment banking, business development, consulting, analytics, strategic marketing, or commercial strategy
Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing
Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Nice to have:
Background in Math, Science, Engineering, Business or Finance
4+ years of experience working in a core business function (e.g., operations, facilities, finance, legal, human resources, etc.), with demonstrated ability to effectively contribute toward team goals
Experience in a healthcare related field
Advanced skills in PowerPoint and/or Excel
Familiarity with data analytics and financial modeling
