Robert Half has partnered with a growing international manufacturing company in the Clinton area in search of a Staff Accountant to join their corporate accounting team. The position offers high visibility within the accounting group and the opportunity to work closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller on a variety of corporate accounting responsibilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Support accounting for accounts payable activities including reconciliations and related analysis
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments throughout the organization
  • Serve as backup support for cash accounting and accounts receivable functions
  • Assist with audit requests and financial reporting support as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2-4+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both
  • Experience working within an ERP system
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and overall systems aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to assist with transactional accounting responsibilities when needed

Nice to have

  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • CPA or public accounting background
