We are looking for an experienced and driven Corporate Senior Tax Manager to lead and develop the tax function for a growing organization in Southfield, Michigan. Job Responsibility

  • Lead the preparation and review of tax accounting and reporting, including annual income tax provisions, in collaboration with external advisors
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax requirements to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage relationships with external tax firms and consultants, ensuring optimal service and results
  • Develop and execute tax strategies to optimize the organization's financial performance
  • Evaluate and implement a unified tax solution for U.S. and international operations
  • Address tax audits, notices, and inquiries from regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and resolution
  • Partner with executive leadership to align tax strategies with broader business objectives
  • Establish and enhance internal processes, controls, and systems to support the organization's growth and operational complexity
  • Provide guidance and leadership on tax-related matters across multi-entity and multi-state operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in tax, with a background in public accounting and/or industry
  • Strong expertise in ASC 740 and tax provision processes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate tax compliance, including multi-state and international tax environments
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and manage external tax service providers
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to operate strategically and execute hands-on tasks
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to effectively partner with senior leadership
  • Experience in building and improving tax-related processes and systems
