The Security Manager for EMEA and APAC plays a key regional role in executing Valvoline Global Operations' (VGO) security programs across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. As the primary security resource in these regions, the Security Manager is responsible for operationalizing security initiatives, conducting assessments, managing risk, and serving as the security liaison to local business leaders and site teams.
Job Responsibility:
Lead execution of VGO’s corporate security programs in EMEA and APAC, ensuring alignment with global standards
Conduct physical security assessments at regional sites and support implementation of mitigation plans
Serve as a point of contact for local site teams on day-to-day security matters
Support incident management, response coordination, and after-action reviews for security events within the regions
Partner with HR, Legal, and IT to conduct internal investigations when necessary
Maintain confidential documentation of incidents and resolutions
Monitor regional security threats and assist in travel risk reviews and protocols
Coordinate with global partners and executive teams to provide security guidance and logistical support during international travel or events
Evaluate regional risks and contribute to security risk registers and mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with internal policies, local regulations, and best practices in physical security and duty of care
Build strong partnerships with local leadership, regional site teams, and external security vendors
Collaborate closely with the U.S.-based Security Analyst and global partners to support enterprise-wide initiatives
Support the implementation of security-related technology and tools across locations in region
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, International Relations, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
6+ years of experience in corporate or regional security operations, ideally across multiple countries
Demonstrated knowledge of physical security best practices, incident response, and investigations
Experience working with international partners and adapting approaches across diverse regulatory and cultural contexts
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and navigate a matrixed, global organization
Fluent in English
