It starts with our people, which is why we need a Corporate Real Estate & Funds (CREF) Associate to join our team to advise on Corporate real estate M&A transactions, joint ventures, restructurings, club deals and fund formations. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Associate to join a market leading and top corporate real estate practice in the city. You will work on a range of high profile multi-jurisdictional deals, as part of a small yet growing team. The department works for the vast majority of the global 100 private equity real estate fund managers.

Job Responsibility

  • Working with a partner and/or senior associates on corporate real estate M&A transactions
  • Supporting on joint venture transactions and club deals
  • Liaising with other departments in the firm on transactions and obtaining advice from overseas counsel on cross-border transactions
  • Working in conjunction with a partner on structuring, establishing and running private investment funds in the United Kingdom and offshore jurisdictions
  • Drafting and negotiating documents to help clients achieve their business goals
  • Managing matters and reviewing work of more junior team members
  • Managing and developing existing client relationships with the relevant client relationship partner and actively get involved in the Firm’s marketing business development work
  • Assisting with the development of templates and other know-how and presenting at internal and external events to contribute to the Firm’s knowledge
  • Building legal knowledge by attending know-how meetings, conducting research and reading journals and legal updates
  • Write articles and briefings for internal and external publications
  • Contribute to pitches and proposals

Requirements

  • 18 months+ PQE
  • Experience working on joint ventures and indirect real estate transactions
  • General funds advisory support
  • Understanding of fund formation work
  • Interest in the wider real estate sector
