Job Description:

This role is heavily focused on external customer interaction and is ideal for a technically strong, customer-facing professional who can bridge the gap between manufacturing sites and key accounts. The Corporate Quality Engineer is responsible for driving the Polynt Quality Systems by interfacing with customers on quality issues and initiatives, improving production quality, evaluating and configuring manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time, increasing capacity, and improving efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive the Polynt Quality Systems by interfacing with customers on quality issues and initiatives
  • Improve production quality
  • Evaluate and configure manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time, increase capacity, and improve efficiency
  • Analyze and evaluate current processes and procedures along the entire production process ensuring consistency and adherence with recipes, procedures, and equipment
  • Support plants in identifying and correcting process deviations
  • Quality management support for key customers and interface with customers and suppliers
  • Analyze current processes and efficiency parameters, and executes work plans to improve process capability
  • Contribute to the development and execution of TQM programs and initiatives
  • Applies and leads process improvement using tools including 6-Sigma, SPC, Root Cause Analysis and Lean Mfg
  • Travels to sites to conduct audits, support production issues, improvement plants, training
  • Execute Corporate Initiatives and follows up with sites to ensure or assist with compliance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or other related science required
  • Four years supporting process engineering and/or quality in a chemical processing environment or comparable field
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience with customer interactions and support
  • Analytical, problem solving, data analysis and information gathering skills
  • Application of mathematical/engineering methods to solve problems in a manufacturing environment
  • Lean / Six Sigma
  • Working knowledge of SAP, MS Office, and Minitab statistical software
