Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Partner to join their dynamic national team, to be based in Leeds. This role offers a unique opportunity for an established corporate solicitor to take their career to the next level within a forward-thinking firm renowned for its strong market presence and high-profile client portfolio. The successful candidate will help lead the next wave of development, contribute to both local and national initiatives, and work alongside a talented team of professionals across various disciplines. The role involves advising a diverse range of clients — from private companies and private equity firms to entrepreneur-managed businesses and fast-growing enterprises — on complex transactional and advisory matters across national and international markets.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage high-value M&A transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and strategic alliances such as joint ventures and capital raising exercises
  • Provide expert advice on business formations, expansions, reorganisations, and exit strategies
  • Advise on company structures, shareholder agreements, corporate governance, and general corporate matters
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines such as property, employment, tax, pensions, environmental, and regulatory teams to deliver seamless service to clients
  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with clients, supporting their current needs and identifying future opportunities
  • Contribute to the firm’s ongoing development and broader strategic initiatives

Requirements

  • Established Corporate Partner with a proven track record in handling high-profile transactions and corporate advisory work
  • Demonstrable ability to add value to the growth of this team as part of the wider business services group growth
  • Strong national and international transactional experience, possibly including cross-border deals
  • Excellent client management skills and the ability to build and maintain high-level relationships
  • Highly motivated with a strategic mindset and a track record of leading teams or significant projects
  • Deep knowledge of corporate law, including company formations, governance, shareholder arrangements, and M&A processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment and contribute to a collaborative team culture
