Blackrock is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Corporate Paralegal to support the Legal Department with a primary focus on corporate governance, intellectual property support, and document management. This role will work closely with the Company’s Head of IP and legal leadership to ensure accurate recordkeeping, compliance, and efficient legal operations.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Legal Department with day-to-day corporate legal and compliance activities
Provide secretarial and administrative assistance to attorneys and legal team as needed
Work closely with the IP attorney to assist with intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark filings, maintenance, and record keeping
Draft and coordinate signatures on formal documents, including contracts, NDAs, inventor declarations, assignments and powers of attorney
Maintain and manage corporate records, including entity documents, board materials, resolutions, and governance files
Oversee legal document management systems to ensure accuracy, organization, and accessibility of records
Assist with contract administration, including tracking, filing, and maintaining executed agreements
Prepare and organize materials for board meetings, committee meetings, and corporate filings
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel as needed
Monitor deadlines and manage dockets related to IP filings, corporate compliance, and regulatory requirements
Conduct legal and factual research as requested by attorneys
Assist with special projects and other legal support duties as assigned
Requirements:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field preferred
Paralegal certification strongly preferred
Minimum of three to five years of experience as a corporate paralegal or in a similar in-house legal support role
Experience supporting intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, and related documentation
Strong knowledge of corporate governance, entity management, and contract administration
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems
Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with strong time management and prioritization abilities
Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive legal information securely
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
