We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position is designed for candidates who excel in corporate governance, legal administration, and high-level organizational tasks. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing board meetings, drafting policies, and overseeing legal file systems, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and manage the administration of Board and Committee meetings, including drafting minutes, preparing materials, scheduling, and uploading documents to online portals
Ensure compliance with board governance requirements by organizing prior meeting materials for easy online access and retrieval
Draft and track internal policies by scheduling relevant meetings, conducting research, and preparing policy documents
Work closely with the General Counsel to establish and maintain systems for tracking third-party materials, such as insurance certificates from grantees and facility users
Administer quarterly and annual legal reporting processes, including lobbying and tax reports
Restructure and organize digital storage systems for legal department files, ensuring proper access and file management
Collaborate on improving operational workflows related to legal and administrative tasks, ensuring timely completion of deliverables
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a corporate paralegal, legal assistant, or in a senior administrative role within a legal or corporate environment
Proven ability to manage complex administrative tasks and coordinate activities across different teams
Strong written communication skills, with a focus on drafting and synthesizing meeting minutes, reports, and policy documents
Familiarity with online file storage systems and digital organizational tools
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
Proficiency in standard office software and experience with board portal solutions
Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred
Knowledge of case management software and legal file systems is a plus
