Job Description

As Alan's senior Corporate Legal Counsel, you will contribute to an exceptionally diverse range of high-impact legal work. You will work as part of the Corporate Governance Area, a group where legal experts collaborate closely with strategists to orchestrate equity programs, governance operations, and company-wide strategic initiatives.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the legal structuring and the definition of the regulatory pathway for strategic launches including new business lines and international expansion
  • Shepherd various M&A transactions from LOI to closing
  • Solve multi-jurisdictional equity challenges
  • Own corporate governance legal operations
  • Systematically increase Alan's legal autonomy by building internal legal frameworks, templates, and decision-making guidelines
  • Contribute to Alan's tax framework
  • Manage the budget and quality of external legal work
  • Support teammates to develop a deep understanding of our legal and regulatory context

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years Corporate, M&A and/or tax law practice in an international environment (drafting in English)
  • At least 3 years at a top international law firm
  • Strong expertise in at least one of Alan’s core corporate practice areas
  • Mastery of legal writing in both French and English
