We are looking for an experienced Manager to oversee data governance and reporting processes within our Investment Accounting and Reporting team. This role requires a strong focus on data integrity, reconciliation, and compliance while driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing data workflows, quality monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement data governance frameworks, including standards, lineage, and definitions for critical data elements
Monitor and manage data quality processes, utilizing metrics and systematic controls to ensure accuracy and resolve exceptions
Oversee reconciliation processes across accounting systems, source data, and general ledger to guarantee data completeness and timely issue resolution
Manage governance and documentation for tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, SharePoint, and Cadency, ensuring compliance and version control
Ensure the integrity of data used in statutory reporting, executive dashboards, and management reporting
Lead initiatives to automate data transformations, reconciliations, and report generation for efficiency
Maintain and enhance documentation, including process narratives, control descriptions, and data dictionaries
Collaborate with internal teams including Reporting, Actuarial, Investments, and IT to align data processes and objectives
Coordinate responses to audits and regulatory inquiries, providing thorough documentation and insights
Supervise and mentor team members, encouraging attention to detail and continuous learning
Requirements:
Proven experience in internal auditing, data governance, or investment accounting roles
Strong knowledge of data workflows, quality monitoring, and reconciliation processes
Proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and SharePoint for data management and reporting
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a focus on coaching and development
Ability to manage complex projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Knowledge of statutory reporting requirements and regulatory compliance
Skilled in documentation practices, including creating process narratives and data flow diagrams
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively across teams
