Reporting to the Account Director, the Corporate & Government Sales Manager will join an outgoing and friendly team of W professionals. The role is responsible for providing total account management of top international local and global corporate accounts and specializing in government segment including embassies. Executes the overall account strategy to generate and maximize business for the property. Applies the principles of strategic account management. Partners with Sales and Marketing leadership, and the property Leadership team, to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to grow market share from assigned accounts. As an account manager, develops strong partnerships with buyers for the purpose of penetrating and growing market share and driving sales for hotel.
Job Responsibility:
Manage key accounts/key prospects and other active customers to ensure maximum revenue in line with budgetary targets
Maintaining valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account/key prospect and ensuring all follow up is completed in a timely manner
Proactively solicit new clients for the properties and follow up on the sales process until they are converted into "producing" clients
Collaborate with external sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative
Take personal responsibility to ensure standards are met and system is utilized to its fullest potential
Maintain current activity and rate information for each account
Understand and process group and event requests and ensure proper handoff and follow up with the event team
Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to facilitate future bookings
Personally responsible for understanding the Sales & Marketing action plan and required budget guidelines to make informed decisions
Actively participate in the annual planning process in support of the Director of Sales
Understanding of overall marketing, including competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, rates and product information, etc., and knowing how to sell against them
Represent and promote Marriott International's quality image at every opportunity
Requirements:
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
4+ year experience in sales and marketing or related professional area
Prior sales manager experience preferably with a luxury brand
Fluent in English
Hungarian is a plus
