iCapital is looking to hire a Corporate Generalist Attorney to join the Legal team with a focus on contracts and commercial matters. The ideal candidate will work across all functions, help manage external contractual relationships, and supervise outside counsel. This role will work closely with both our General Counsel and other attorneys within our Legal and Compliance groups.

Job Responsibility

  • Draft and review complex, technology-driven client engagement agreements
  • Develop and implement standard client form documentation and leverage contract lifecycle management solutions to improve efficiency and consistency of client and vendor agreements
  • Draft and review a variety of general corporate agreements related to human resources, finance, marketing, real estate, facilities, and alternative investments
  • Draft and review various contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documentation
  • Assist with legal aspects of strategic corporate development initiatives
  • Perform ad hoc research projects

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant experience within a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at a technology or financial services firm, or within a related industry
  • Member in good standing authorized to practice law in Portugal
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Willing to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment
  • Organized and detailed oriented with big picture capability
  • Familiar with technology companies a plus
