Job Description

The Corporate Finance Transactor will play a key role in the delivery of the full platform of Citi corporate finance solutions, with a particular focus on debt solutions for middle market corporate clients across Europe.

Job Responsibility

  • Support Corporate & Sponsor Finance transactors, interacting with clients, participating in meetings and client pitches
  • Preparation of marketing materials to provide insightful analysis and advice to clients on optimal financing options and strategic alternatives
  • Maintenance of deal pipeline, with a focus on key trends in each market and potential replicability of solutions across different countries and industries
  • Continued development of team’s market data sources and analytics infrastructure
  • Conduct industry analysis to identify trends (including peer analysis and client benchmarking)
  • Direct involvement in Corporate & Sponsor Finance strategic initiatives
  • Preparation of detailed cash flow models, including design of debt structures, debt capacity analysis and company valuation
  • Support the review of clients’ business plans and funding strategy
  • Conducting due diligence on clients and prospects
  • Support in the assessment of potential opportunities to establish transaction viability
  • Help with the preparation and review of deal term sheets
  • Provide input on credit analysis
  • Support deal team co-ordination and project management
  • Preparation of investor marketing materials
  • Involvement in deal credit approval processes
  • Support review and negotiation loan documentation
  • Support internal approvals

Requirements

  • Knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets
  • Knowledge of credit analysis, structuring, financing products and financial modelling
  • Exposure to syndicated loans and other capital market solutions
  • Experience being part of deal team and transaction co-ordination
  • Exposure to legal documentation
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with financial databases (e.g. Factset, Dealogic)
  • Ideally 2-4 years banking or relevant experience
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Positive can-do approach and comfortable operating in unstructured situations turning abstract concepts into tangible solutions
  • Able to work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines
  • High level of energy, enthusiasm, and motivation
  • Self-starter and comfortable working independently
  • Strong presentation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Team player, ability to interact and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
