Job Description

The Corporate Development team at Meta is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and executing M&A and strategic partnership opportunities. As a Strategy and Scouting Manager, you will collaborate with the broader Corp Dev team and business leaders across Meta to identify potential M&A targets, analyze ecosystem trends, and engage with the startup community. You will also partner with Deal Leads to evaluate business and M&A opportunities, conduct due diligence, perform market research, and drive deal execution. This role requires a strategic thinker with proven analytical skills, a passion for technology and innovation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on Meta’s growth and strategy.

Job Responsibility

  • Identify, research, and recommend industries, companies, regional trends, and technologies for Meta’s M&A evaluation
  • Stay current on the competitive landscape and internal product development to inform and influence M&A strategy
  • Build and maintain relationships within the startup and investor ecosystem to proactively identify trends and M&A opportunities that accelerate Meta’s business objectives
  • Serve as a core member of M&A deal teams, supporting all aspects of the process, including strategic and financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation
  • Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and presentations to track and analyze industry and prospective M&A opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, legal, finance, and other teams to ensure successful deal execution

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, venture capital, or a related field, preferably covering internet, digital media, or mobile companies
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated ability to design, lead, and execute analyses and effectively communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Familiarity with M&A processes, including deal structuring and negotiation
  • Proven problem-solving skills, both independently and in group settings
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of organization and attention to detail

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
