Job Description:

The Credit Risk Officer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assess quality of assigned portfolios including identification and evaluation of emerging risks
  • Assess effectiveness of credit risk processes and standards
  • Review and assess appropriateness of credit risk components of Risk Appetite framework
  • Provide autonomous assessment of accuracy of risk ratings and classifications
  • Assess business/risk staffing models
  • Ensure Corrective Action Plans are appropriate and monitored
  • Ensure Fundamental Credit Risk documents meet quality standards
  • Keep senior management informed of concerns and emerging risks
  • Demonstrate Quality Assurance activities as Subject Matter Expert
  • Assess risk when making business decisions

Requirements:

  • 10-13 years relevant experience
