Corporate Counsel

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify, evaluate and manage legal and business risks
• Develop and maintain contract systems, templates, playbooks and workflows
• Work directly with the General Counsel, gaining exposure to corporate governance, M&A, regulatory matters
• Work with Business Development, Revenue, Product, Engineering and Finance teams to support strategic initiatives
• Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and internal policies
• Contribute to broader Legal team initiatives
• Take on stretch assignments that build leadership and judgment capabilities
• Develop the skills and experience needed to advance within SpotHero’s Legal function

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience (law firm and/or in-house) handling corporate and commercial contract drafting, negotiation and management
• Strong knowledge of contract fundamentals, intellectual property and privacy considerations and commercial risk allocation
• Excellent judgment and strong business acumen
• Effective communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• A proactive mindset, ownership mentality and a collaborative, solution-oriented attitude

Experience preferably involving technology, marketplace, SaaS or mobility concepts
