Our client, a major American cargo airline, passenger charter airline, and aircraft lessor is seeking a Corporate Counsel for their team based in White Plains, NY. We are seeking an experienced corporate attorney to support a broad range of commercial and corporate matters partnering closely with the internal business team to provide practical business-oriented advice in fast paced and dynamic business environment.
Job Responsibility:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including: Customer charter agreements
Strategic sourcing and vendor agreements
Aircraft-related services and MRO support contracts
Facilities and airport leasing contracts
Ground handling, fueling, catering, and logistics contracts
Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks to streamline procurement processes
Advise procurement teams on risk allocation, contract strategy, and supplier disputes
Provide assistance on key corporate transactions including JVs and acquisition

Lead legal support for IT related agreements
Provide advice on cybersecurity data, protection and data processing
Provide support on general corporate and legal matters including day-to-day legal counsel on general corporate matters across business units
Support governance, policy development, and internal compliance initiatives
Assist with managing corporate branches
Assist with dispute resolution, claims, and pre-litigation matters
Collaborate with external counsel as needed
Work closely with procurement, finance, operations, compliance, and executive leadership
Translate legal risks into clear, actionable business guidance
Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes and contract lifecycle management
Requirements:
JD Degree
3 to 6 years of relevant legal experience (law firm or in house)
New York bar admission
Must be well suited for a fast pace entrepreneurial environment
Ability to lead and interact with the senior levels of the organization
Comfortable in rolling sleeves in a lean environment
Strong team, interpersonal and communication skills
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
