Do you want to work with top-notch legal and compliance partners to provide informed and complex legal advice to T-Mobile teams that investigate and remediate issues related to violations of the T-Mobile Code of Business Conduct, other internal corporate policies, or legal and regulatory requirements? If so, T-Mobile has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Counsel role to work in the Legal Compliance group in our Washington DC or Bellevue, WA office.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a day-to-day legal advisor for T-Mobile’s investigation teams, including Corporate Investigations and Asset Protection
  • Support complex and time-sensitive investigations of violations of the T-Mobile Code of Business Conduct and related policies, as well as other legal, regulatory, or company policy violations
  • Scope, manage, and direct complex, high visibility, and privileged internal investigations
  • Provide cross-functional legal support on matters that may intersect with HR, Litigation, Asset Protection, Organized Crime, Fraud, Government Affairs, and Cybersecurity
  • Provide updates and written work product to legal and other senior business leaders on investigative activities and results
  • Develop and deliver trainings to investigators on investigative best practices, compliance trends and enforcement actions, updated internal investigatory procedures, etc
  • Serve as legal compliance adviser and policy SME for various internal T-Mobiles policies

Requirements

  • A US law degree and admission to at least one bar is required
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience as an attorney with relevant experience in government, in-house, and law firm (at least two of three preferred)
  • Prior investigations experience, either directly supporting federal, state, or local law enforcement in criminal or complex civil matters or supporting large enterprises in connection with internal or government investigations
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other legal and business professionals in a complex organization with a focus on delivering crisp and precise guidance on tight deadlines
  • Ability to interact with senior management with strong executive maturity, including producing concise and polished written work product
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with investigators and investigative partners
  • Ability to establish self as a subject matter expert in specialty fields
  • Keen business sense with strong judgment, writing, and decision-making skills
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Familiarity with DOJ’s guidance on the Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs
  • Familiarity with telecommunications industry or other large service-industry companies
