Job Description

As Corporate Counsel, you will be at the front lines of making Abridge a success, working alongside our Sales and Partner Success teams to negotiate and close deals with customers big and small. This role will spend approximately 75% of the time supporting sell-side activities and 25% of the time supporting procurement and buy-side activities. In both roles, you will deliver practical, business-oriented guidance that supports innovation while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of AI in health tech.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the lead attorney negotiating commercial transactions with a wide range of customers and vendors
  • Work with our commercial legal team and sales team in iterating on and improving our core commercial documents and terms, and developing playbooks and processes for improving accuracy and efficiency
  • Facilitate automation and efficiencies in collaboration with our Legal Ops team

Requirements

  • Passion for Abridge’s mission and the energy and drive to support a fast-moving commercial team
  • A customer-service mindset
  • 4+ years experience independently leading negotiation of commercial contracts in the healthcare or SaaS space
  • Comfort with juggling a high volume of contracts, tight timelines, and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, particularly with technical teams, designers, and sales teams
  • Creativity in solving and navigating novel contractual matters

Nice to have

  • Some familiarity and understanding of recent trends in artificial intelligence, with a specific focus on language models
  • Experience in a startup or high growth organization, or otherwise in rapidly scaling processes
  • Experience in an additional area: SaaS, IP, privacy, etc.
