Job Description

T-Mobile is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Corporate Counsel to join its Legal team, supporting consumer litigation and dispute resolution matters. This role will be a key member of the Consumer Litigation team, responsible for managing a high-volume docket of consumer disputes, including litigation and arbitration. The ideal candidate is a business-minded attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of matters end-to-end, and delivers practical, risk-based legal guidance. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders across Care, Executive Response, and other customer-facing teams to support T-Mobile’s commitment to exceptional customer experience while effectively managing legal risk

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee and strategically direct outside counsel, ensuring alignment with company consumer litigation and arbitration strategy, while ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Partner cross-functionally with Care, Executive Response, and other business teams to resolve disputes and improve customer outcomes
  • Identify trends and recurring consumer issues and proactively advise the business on risk mitigation and process improvements
  • Support small claims and arbitration programs, including preparing internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, handling aspects of matters directly
  • Assist in managing individual and mass arbitration matters and aligning with the broader consumer litigation strategy
  • Evaluate when to handle matters internally versus leveraging outside counsel, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of litigation processes, tools, and strategies to enhance scalability and consistency

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and willingness to get a Kansas Bar License
  • 2-4 years of experience as a business attorney, with relevant in-house and/or top law firm transitional experience
  • Preferred 4–7 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on consumer litigation, arbitration, or dispute resolution
  • Experience managing a high-volume docket and balancing competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to independently handle litigation matters and work effectively managing outside counsel
  • Strong business judgment and ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to anticipate issues and drive efficient outcomes
