We are looking for an experienced Corporate Controller to oversee financial operations for multiple manufacturing entities in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This role is integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and optimizing accounting systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, system implementation, and team leadership within a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibility:
Manage accounting functions, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and inventory accounting for multiple manufacturing entities
Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant standards
Ensure adherence to tax regulations, audit requirements, and internal control policies
Coordinate external audits and maintain relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies
Monitor intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and eliminations to ensure consistency
Lead the implementation and optimization of financial systems across manufacturing entities, collaborating with IT and operations teams
Develop and maintain accurate costing models, inventory valuations, and variance analyses
Partner with operations teams to evaluate production costs, material usage, and efficiency metrics
Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights that support strategic decision-making
Supervise and mentor finance and purchasing teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
a Master’s degree is preferred
Certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable
At least 7-10 years of progressive finance experience within a manufacturing setting
Expertise in cost accounting, inventory control, and production financial analysis
Proven experience in leading system implementations or upgrades in a manufacturing environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop cross-functional teams
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Familiarity with supply chain finance, material requirements planning systems, and operational integration
