Job Description:

Our client in the Technology industry has an exciting opportunity to be a member of the group senior leadership team as the Controller. The person will work closely with the VP, Finance and other senior team members in providing financial support and analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to come onboard as the company is growing organically!

Job Responsibility:

Planning, directing and coordinating all general accounting activities and ensuring the consolidation of all financial data necessary for delivering consolidated business results
Lead a timely and accurate financial close, ensuring appropriate internal controls and application of IFRS accounting standards
Deliver quarterly and annual financial statements, MD&A and other public company filings
Engage in Board of Directors support and governance activities
Be the process owner for applicable significant processes to ensure compliance with 52-109 and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Recommend and oversee process improvement and new system implementation initiatives
Coach, develop, and inspire a global team of Finance professionals

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in finance or accounting with a CPA designation considered an asset
Strong public company experience with IFRS reporting experience considered an asset
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from financial data
Exceptional communication in French and English and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure, ever changing environment
