Provide strategic legal counsel to senior management on procurement of goods and services supporting critical internet infrastructure, corporate operations, and emerging technologies (including AI)
Draft, review, and negotiate complex vendor agreements, with a focus on technology and software licensing
Interpret and apply internal risk policies to contractual terms and business decisions
Advise on U.S. and international legal and regulatory requirements
Partner cross-functionally with legal, business teams, and vendors to ensure efficient contract execution
Support dispute resolution and proactively address vendor-related issues
Lead and mentor attorneys and/or contracts professionals, while managing high-volume, multi-faceted projects
Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school
12+ years of legal experience, including in-house experience within technology or internet-related industries preferred
Significant expertise in commercial contracting, software licensing, and emerging technologies (including AI)
Strong executive presence with experience advising senior leadership
Proven ability to manage complex workflows in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of intellectual property, privacy, and international legal issues related to procurement
Admission to the Virginia Bar or eligibility for Virginia Corporate Counsel status
