Job Responsibility

  • Provide strategic legal counsel to senior management on procurement of goods and services supporting critical internet infrastructure, corporate operations, and emerging technologies (including AI)
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex vendor agreements, with a focus on technology and software licensing
  • Interpret and apply internal risk policies to contractual terms and business decisions
  • Advise on U.S. and international legal and regulatory requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally with legal, business teams, and vendors to ensure efficient contract execution
  • Support dispute resolution and proactively address vendor-related issues
  • Lead and mentor attorneys and/or contracts professionals, while managing high-volume, multi-faceted projects

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 12+ years of legal experience, including in-house experience within technology or internet-related industries preferred
  • Significant expertise in commercial contracting, software licensing, and emerging technologies (including AI)
  • Strong executive presence with experience advising senior leadership
  • Proven ability to manage complex workflows in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of intellectual property, privacy, and international legal issues related to procurement
  • Admission to the Virginia Bar or eligibility for Virginia Corporate Counsel status
