A leader in Shipping and Logistics company is currently expanding and looking for highly qualified candidates for the Corporate Compliance Specialist position based in Singapore.

Job Responsibility

  • Carry out sanctions screening on counterparties, vessels, cargo, and transactions, escalating potential matches in line with established procedures
  • Track developments in international sanctions regimes and provide practical guidance to stakeholders
  • Contribute to the design, review, and improvement of global sanctions compliance policies, procedures, and guidance materials
  • Perform enhanced due diligence on higher risk counterparties and transactions across multiple jurisdictions and support investigations into potential sanctions breaches
  • Assist in delivering sanctions related and general compliance training across the organization
  • Support the wider ethics and compliance programme, including anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, and conflicts of interest frameworks
  • Monitor regulatory changes across key jurisdictions and help prepare compliance reports for senior management and board committees
  • Maintain compliance registers covering gifts and hospitality, conflicts of interest, and third-party due diligence records
  • Work closely with Maritime, Insurance, and Corporate Legal unit heads within a cross-functional matrix structure as part of the Legal department

Requirements

  • Degree in Law or a related discipline
  • 3-4 years of professional experience in sanctions compliance or a broader ethics and compliance function
  • Familiarity with sanctions procedures and practical use of sanctions screening tools
  • Ability to explain complex regulatory requirements clearly to non-specialist audiences
  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and excellent organizational abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
