Walt Disney Japan is seeking a diligent, detail-oriented, and motivated Corporate Communications Specialist to support the execution of key communication initiatives. The successful candidate will possess foundational experience in corporate communications, including media relations, internal communications, and corporate messaging. In this role, you will contribute to media outreach efforts and support the implementation of both external and internal communication activities that articulate and strengthen Disney’s corporate narrative across its diverse business segments. You will also provide support to the Japan Corporate Communications team in the planning and execution of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that foster meaningful, positive impact within the local community. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the planning and implementation of external and internal communications
  • Draft, edit, and manage approvals for materials including press releases, internal communications, and reports
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with media representatives, key opinion leaders(KOLs), influencers, and stakeholders
  • Assist with initiatives to deliver timely and motivating communications to Disney Japan employees
  • Collaborate on the execution and communication of Disney’s CSR programs and initiatives
  • Coordinate and support ongoing storytelling, media relations, and key corporate communication programs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3–5 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, ideally within Japan
  • Prior experience at PR agencies or in-house communications teams in Japan preferred
  • Interest in and understanding of the entertainment, media, and consumer industries in both the U.S. and Japan
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills in Japanese and English
  • Familiarity with contemporary media and entertainment trends, digital PR, and social media platforms
  • Experience supporting communications campaigns and events
  • strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and engage diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn and expand responsibilities in a dynamic, international organization
  • TOEIC score of 850+ (or equivalent English proficiency) strongly preferred
