Job Responsibility
Preparing, drafting, and revising legal documents and correspondence
Coordinating the flow of documents between internal and external clients
Working proactively and initiating follow-up actions to expedite workflow
Transcribing digital dictation
Performing conflict searches, file openings, and file closings
Managing correspondence, booking appointments, and diarizing deadlines
Managing incoming mail and e-mail
Regular interaction with clients and other lawyers
Billing and other practice management tasks
Maintaining organized and complete files within an electronic document management system
Requirements
Post-secondary diploma or certificate from an accredited Legal Assistant or Paralegal program, and/or successful experience working as a Legal Assistant
Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy Corporate Commercial practice
Strong computer and technical skills
