Job Description

The Corporate Business Development Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth and expanding market presence by identifying and securing new business opportunities, as well as strengthening relationships with existing key accounts. This role requires a customer-centric approach, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the industry landscape to tailor solutions that meet the clients' needs while aligning with organizational objectives.

Job Responsibility

  • Take overall responsibility for all commercial activities in China, formulate the company's overall commercial plan (including sales, marketing, profit targets, etc.) based on the company's development strategy and market changes, and promote the effective implementation of the plan
  • In-depth study of international courier, air freight and sea freight industry trends, business models, market demand and competitive landscape, integrate the characteristics of the three businesses into the commercial strategy, identify commercial opportunities and avoid industry risks
  • Formulate and implement sales and marketing strategies combined with the company's budget, overall business plan and the characteristics of courier, air and sea freight businesses, optimize pricing strategies and service systems for different business segments, and improve customer acquisition and retention capabilities
  • Lead the planning and implementation of advertising, marketing promotion and brand building activities, focus on promoting the company's courier, air freight and sea freight business advantages, and enhance the company's commercial influence in the Chinese market
  • Effectively convert cargo flow, customer needs (especially needs related to courier, air and sea freight) into commercial opportunities, coordinate internal resources to provide customized solutions for key customers, and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Manage existing key customers and potential high-value customers in China, establish and maintain long-term and stable cooperative relations, and focus on expanding high-quality customer resources in the courier, air freight and sea freight fields
  • Seek business development (BD) opportunities in the Chinese market, focus on exploring new business scenarios, new customer groups and new cooperation models related to international courier, air freight and sea freight, and promote business diversification and scale development
  • Manage, develop and lead the Chinese commercial team, establish a scientific team management system, formulate team and individual performance goals, conduct training and guidance, stimulate team potential, and ensure the achievement of the company's overall commercial goals
  • Pay close attention to the dynamic changes of the Chinese market and the logistics industry (especially courier, air and sea freight sectors), collect market intelligence and competitive information, conduct in-depth market analysis, and provide data support and decision-making suggestions for the company's strategic adjustment and business plan optimization
  • Draft the annual budget of the Chinese commerce department, supervise and control the actual expenditure, optimize the allocation of commercial resources, and ensure the rationality and efficiency of fund use
  • Regularly report to the GM in writing on the work progress, business achievements, existing problems, improvement plans and future work plans of the Chinese commerce department, and put forward strategic suggestions related to commercial development
  • Other duties as assigned. And coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth progress of the company's overall business

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above,major in International Trade, Logistics Management, Business Administration or related fields
  • MBA is preferred. At least 8 years of relevant commercial management experience in the logistics industry, including at least 3 years of management experience in the international courier, air freight and sea freight fields, with a proven track record of leading teams to achieve business goals
  • Proficient in the business processes, industry rules, pricing systems and market trends of international courier, air freight and sea freight, with in-depth insight into the Chinese logistics market and strong ability to capture industry opportunities
  • Possess excellent strategic development thinking and overall planning ability, be able to formulate scientific and feasible commercial strategies and overall business plans according to the company's development goals, and have the ability to promote the implementation of strategies and solve key problems in the process
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation and leadership skills, able to effectively manage and lead the team, coordinate internal and external resources, and have strong ability to deal with complex business problems
  • Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing), able to use English as a working language, proficient in writing English business documents, and able to communicate smoothly with international teams and customers
  • Familiar with commercial contract management, risk control and financial analysis, with strong data sensitivity and analytical ability, able to provide effective guidance for commercial decision-making through data analysis
