Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate Banking Associate to support Relationship Management functions covering banks within the Americas region. The role involves supporting senior Corporate Banking Relationship Managers, developing strategic relationships, and delivering Wells Fargo’s capabilities, such as Debt & Equity Capital Markets, Treasury Management, and Financial Crimes compliance.

Job Responsibility:

function as part of a team focused on helping clients achieve their financial and strategic goals through the delivery of a broad set of products and services
support multiple senior Relationship Managers
prepare discussion materials for internal and external presentations
collaborate and consult with peers, internal partners and stakeholders
represent the bank in developing and maintaining relationships with smaller or less complex clients
work with product partners to organize coordinated calling efforts
present recommendations for growing and maintaining a portfolio of profitable clients
work to understand and comply with anti-money laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulation

Requirements:

2+ years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent
excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
ability to demonstrate deep product knowledge
2 years of BSA/AML and Risk Management experience
ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
2 years of financial services industry experience
strong analytical and quantitative skills
strong financial modeling skills
understanding of fundamental financial accounting principles and concepts
intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
familiarity with S&P Global Market Intelligence, Bloomberg, Capital IQ or other data service providers
ability to work independently but in a team environment

Nice to have:

financial institutions / banks sector experience
a BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, finance, or related field
prior investment banking or capital markets experience
bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required
