HSBC is looking for a strongly motivated candidate with an excellent academic background to join its Italian Corporate Banking team. As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to strengthen your fundamentals of Banking including financial modelling, accounting, credit analysis and customer due diligence. The candidate will have full exposure to the broad HSBC products offering and will support senior bankers in the origination and execution of Loans and Debt Capital Markets transactions, leverage finance, acquisition financing, cash management, trade finance, treasury services, FX and derivatives in Italy and abroad.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure efficient and smooth functioning of the banking operational and commercial activities for the designed clients portfolio
Work with cross-functional teams during origination, due-diligence, capital/credit approval and deal execution stages (involving product, capital, credit, legal and operations teams)
Work in partnership with other teams to deliver the services and products of the bank in a fair and transparent manner, including participating in internal and external client calls and meetings
Maintain close contact with the international network to ensure prompt and appropriate responses to client queries, manage bank’s global exposure and capture additional business opportunities
Develop and maintain financial models to support new business origination and review existing assets
Ensure that the business meets its internal and external regulatory requirements, including Know Your Client and Compliance
Assist with the preparation of client credit reviews, including: Financial modeling
Financial analysis
Industry and competitor analyses
Identifying key financial and other risks
Requirements:
Strong academic background
Fluency and strong business and commercial knowledge of Italian and English languages
Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Proactive attitude, eager to take on responsibilities and able to work well in an international high performance team
Strong writing and research skills
Stress resilient and able to shift quickly between different responsibilities
MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
