Robert Half is currently partnering with a growing organization is seeking a Corporate Accounting & Payroll Specialist to manage bi‑weekly payroll processing, corporate accounts payable, cash management activities, and key month‑end responsibilities. This position plays a critical role within the Corporate Accounting team and collaborates closely with internal departments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process bi‑weekly payroll in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations using payroll software (e.g., UKG)
  • Coordinate benefit enrollment, billing, and deductions
  • Review and process garnishments
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
  • Support annual payroll and 401(k) audits and reporting
  • Process corporate accounts payable, including overhead, employee reimbursements, and project‑related expenses
  • Prepare journal entries related to payroll, benefits, and accruals
  • Reconcile billing accounts such as credit cards, cellular services, and rental car programs
  • Maintain organized digital/physical filing and documentation
  • Troubleshoot integration issues between invoice approval systems and GL software
  • Participate in weekly accounting meetings
  • Communicate status updates, deadlines, and potential issues proactively
  • Cross‑train with team members for coverage flexibility
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned
  • Monitor daily cash balances and update internal reporting
  • Prepare and record internal transfers and external wires
  • Process accounts receivable deposits

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll and/or accounting roles
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance and general accounting principles
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to follow procedures while exercising independent judgment
