Job Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join Replit's growing team in Foster City, CA. As a leading AI software development platform, Replit is transforming how millions of developers build, collaborate, and deploy software. In this role, you’ll gain broad exposure to our overall accounting functions, A/R, A/P, General Ledger and Month End Close related activities. Working closely alongside our Accounting Manager & Sr. Accountant to produce accurate & timely financials. You’ll have the opportunity to streamline the accounting team’s operations & workflows for the department & greater organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform various daily accounting tasks including Expense Categorization, Bank Reconciliations, Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets, Journal Entries, etc.
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations including cash, prepaids, accruals & other relevant accounts
  • Work closely with Sr. Accountant & Accounting Manager regarding streamlining the Month End Close Process
  • Assist with Sales Tax Compliance, filings, registrations, etc.
  • Assist with reporting requests from our external auditors related to financial audits
  • Assist with implementing new Accounting, Finance & People Ops platforms. i.e. HRIS, Payroll, Equity, etc.
  • Partner with external consultants on various strategic initiatives
  • Assist with Ad-hoc reporting requests

Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in technology or SaaS environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP & core accounting principles
  • Familiarity with Accounting ERPs (experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Campfire)
  • Experience with Ramp & Salesforce is a plus
