Lawes Consulting Group is partnered with a global broker seeking a proactive Corporate Account Handler – Team Leader for their Leeds office. This role involves managing a team of account handlers, fostering client relationships, and driving business opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of corporate account handlers, ensuring optimal team performance and employee satisfaction
  • Manage a high-performing team that delivers exceptional client service and complies with industry standards
  • Oversee the management of complex commercial accounts, providing expert guidance and support
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for high-value clients
  • Drive business retention and growth initiatives by identifying cross-selling or upselling opportunities
  • Monitor team KPIs and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and industry regulations
  • Develop and implement training programs
  • Maintain clear communication between team members, clients, and senior management
  • Liaise with underwriters and insurers to negotiate the best products and terms for clients.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in account handling, with a specific focus on commercial account handling in the corporate sector
  • Key leadership skills is essential
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams, with a track record of fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, policies, and market trends
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to ensure the professional development of team members
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effectively engaging with team members, clients, and senior leaders
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, insurance-related software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
