Job Description:

As a Core Engineer, you’ll develop various parts of the Camio tech stack that processes and analyzes video at scale. Projects span the entire pipeline and also touch the web app, website, API, cloud-edge infrastructure, and more. You’ll be a good fit if you enjoy working closely with other team members and feel comfortable creating and maintaining your own systems.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience with software development
  • 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Python, Java, C++
  • Experience in designing and architecting scalable software systems
  • Excellence in both technical and non-technical communication

Nice to have:

  • 3+ years of development with at least one of the major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Experience working with large scale systems such as Cassandra, Mesos, Spark, etc.
  • Experience with the cloud-native stack including containers, kubernetes, service mesh, etc.
  • Stream processing experience using systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, etc.
  • Experience working with frontend frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular
  • Experience working with core or applied machine learning domains such as Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision
  • Good understanding of Linux kernel, drivers, and networks
  • Experience in collaborating with teams, communicating with users, leading projects, and influencing decision-making at various levels
  • Experience using code versioning systems such as Git
