Lockout/tagout certified (training will be done on site)
Strong aptitude in measurement calculations and mechanical workings
Able to read a tape measure
Ability to record downtime
Knowledge of all aspects of the trim saw machine, including maintenance, blade changes, mechanical understanding, printer maintenance, order tracking process, door/ customer quality specs, door types, core types, Masterpack, knowledge of other positions including feeding the saw and catching the doors
Operates computer controlled trim saw
Able to retain high level of information
Reads/interprets schedules/tickets
Performs quality checks
Performs safety checks including guards and tooling, tooling changes and sanding belt changes

Job Responsibility

Leading and driving the trimming activities in the plant with an emphasis on creating and maintaining a safe working environment and maintaining and exceeding customer quality requirements
Problem solving equipment
Responsible for a large amount of inventory
Sets up and stages the Trim saw by scanning tickets barcodes (line item on order) into computer
Determines how to set-up/adjust guides on saw to maintain margins for build
Makes manual adjustments when necessary to meet or hold tolerances
Tests door set-up and barcode printer
Runs orders per production schedules
Changes trim blades, sanding belts, etc
Calibrates the trim saw

Advanced knowledge of reading/interpreting schedules
Advanced knowledge of SKU's, material cut requirements, and coordinating material flow
Forklift knowledge and safety procedures
Forklift operating skills to load/unload, lift, move, place, stack raw materials and doors
Ability to maneuver lift truck safely in tight spaces
Use measuring tape - to 16th
Constant and clear communication with upstream and downstream departments
Constantly getting on/off lift truck to manually lift/slide/flip materials or doors (max. 50 lbs.), bending, lifting, twisting

Job Responsibility

Distinguish what can be pulled from stock vs. profile required
Pulls accurate materials from main whose/storage trailers
Takes core to layup lines
Ability to direct core that requires cutting to the core saw and core requiring profiling to the routers
Verify and ensure the core strips required for 7/0 & 8/0 doors are with the core materials brought to the lines
Stocks leftover materials/ components
Recover/return materials to bins
Pull core requirements
Navigate throughout plant, including populated and small areas
Perform safety procedures
