You must be within 50 miles driving distance from our Capital One hub locations in Richmond, VA.​Capital One Horizontal Operations is looking for candidates to support the growing Data Integrity team. The team validates deals that our closing and booking partners book and fund. The primary function of the DI team is to minimize the risk to the bank and the customer while ensuring that commercial closing is audit ready. The role includes analyzing credit agreements and comparing the information to the bank’s loan system. The associate is responsible for making sure all data points are accurate and communicating with our closing and booking partners. The ability to learn quickly and to adapt to change are critical skills to the role. Applicant will possess exceptional communication skills. Additionally, the ability to clearly convey intricate concepts and issues in a concise way; as well as work collaboratively among stakeholders to help facilitate ongoing change management. Knowledge of agented (syndication) deals, member deals, credit products and complex documents preferred.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review and interpret complex commercial loan documentation to validate accuracy of system bookings within ACBS
  • Ensure loan data aligns with executed credit agreements, identifying discrepancies and driving resolution with closing and booking partners
  • Serve as a control function to minimize risk by ensuring data integrity and audit readiness across all deal types (bi-lateral, member, syndication)
  • Partner cross-functionally with closing, servicing, and offshore teams to ensure consistent execution and adherence to established processes
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of commercial loan products, deal structures, and booking requirements, while continuously building expertise in evolving processes and systems
  • Apply sound judgment to balance risk, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency when reviewing and making decisions
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve data or process issues, leveraging insights to prevent recurring errors and improve upstream quality
  • Contribute to the design, enhancement, and execution of controls that strengthen data integrity and reduce operational risk
  • Adapt quickly to changes in priorities, processes, and systems, supporting ongoing transformation initiatives across Core Ops
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy and accountability, with a focus on delivering a strong customer and partner experience
  • Leverage data and trends identified through reviews to provide insights and recommendations that improve process quality and reduce defects
  • Communicate findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders, effectively influencing resolution and promoting adherence to best practices

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year of experience in Commercial Loan Closing or Commercial Loan Servicing
  • At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • 2+ years of systems experience in ACBS
  • 2+ years of systems experience in Salesforce
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)
  • 2+ years of Agent Syndication Loan Closing or Agent Syndication Loan Servicing experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Commercial Banking Operations
