Job Description

Temp role until 31st March 2027 with possibility of becoming permanent. To work as a Core Officer, providing a high level of customer service at our client site.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as first point of contact for staff and visitors
  • Liaise with client and stakeholders
  • Work alongside wider Security Team and all service lines
  • Ensure protection of persons and property
  • Provide safe and secure environment
  • Conduct searches
  • Maintain good order on site
  • Protect client's property against loss, theft, damage and waste
  • Protect private property of client, staff and visitors
  • Prevent offences against law and policies
  • Ensure basic fire precautions and clear means of escape
  • Undertake internal and external patrols and inspections
  • Meet and greet visitors
  • Escalate security and maintenance issues
  • Produce and administer access cards
  • Monitor, escalate and respond to alarms
  • Provide assistance with emergency procedures
  • Manage Contractors
  • Complete permit to work forms
  • Carry out escort duties
  • Ensure no unauthorised persons in prohibited areas
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Manage ad-hoc projects/tasks
  • Monitor and respond to CCTV and intruder alarms
  • Liaise with Building Services for out of hours service calls
  • Control and manage keys
  • Perform general security duties
  • Monitor, escalate and respond to e-mails from customers

Requirements

  • Security Industry Training Organisation basic qualification or equivalent experience
  • CCTV licence
  • Excellent literacy and communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Good telephone manner
  • Computer literate (E-mail, Word and Excel)
  • Capable of using all security equipment necessary
  • Consistently smart appearance in uniform
  • Reliability, energetic, self-motivation
  • Ability to use own initiative and work without supervision

  • Prevent offences against the law of the land, UniTrust disciplinary codes and policies and ensure all are brought to the attention of the management
  • Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are clear
  • Undertake internal and external patrols and inspections in accordance with Assignment Instruction/SOP's. Utilising the patrolling and reporting system where applicable
  • Working with the reception team meet and greet visitors and ensure relevant security procedures are carried out. Some standing (for more than one hour) may be required
  • Escalating any issues security and maintenance related issues to the Facilities Team by detailed and accurate emails/incident reports
  • Production and administration of access cards for tenants, visitors and contractors for the access control system
