This is a remote position. Position: Core Network Engineer – CS Core Technology/Platform: ZTE Domain: Core Network – Circuit Switched (CS Core)

Job Responsibility

  • Operate, configure, and maintain ZTE CS Core network elements such as MSC, MGW, HLR, VLR, and STP
  • Monitor core network performance, alarms, and KPIs to ensure high availability and reliability
  • Perform fault troubleshooting and root cause analysis for CS Core network issues
  • Handle configuration changes, software upgrades, patches, and license management
  • Coordinate with RAN, Transmission, and OSS teams for end-to-end service stability
  • Support interconnection, roaming, and signaling operations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with ZTE CS Core platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of CS Core architecture and signaling protocols (SS7, ISUP, MAP)
  • Experience with MSC, MGW, HLR/VLR, and signaling networks
  • Knowledge of call flow analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with OSS tools for fault and performance management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
