About the role: We’re building a world-class copywriting function at Plum and are looking for an experienced Copywriter to help shape it. In this role, you’ll own our tone of voice day-to-day and write clear, engaging copy across Plum’s marketing and product channels. You’ll help ensure our copy is consistent, high quality, and fit for scale as the business grows. You’ll work closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, and CRM teams to deliver copy that’s thoughtful, effective, and on-brand. A core part of the role is turning complex financial concepts into simple, confident language that helps people feel capable and in control of their money. Why this roles matters: The words we choose matter, especially when it comes to money. As a Copywriter at Plum, you’ll shape how people understand and interact with their finances, creating clear, human copy that builds trust and confidence at scale.
Job Responsibility:
Write clear, simple, engaging copy aligned to our tone of voice across marketing channels and product surfaces, including websites, social media, emails, push notifications, digital ads, and brand campaigns
Translate complex financial concepts into approachable, trustworthy copy that builds confidence
Work at pace across multiple projects with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
Collaborate with Brand, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, and CRM teams on briefs and go-to-market initiatives
Respond to urgent requests and last-minute changes without compromising quality
Maintain and apply Plum’s tone of voice consistently across all touchpoints
Review and edit copy to ensure clarity, accuracy, and brand alignment
Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate output, generate variations, and support experimentation while maintaining quality and brand voice
Requirements:
An experienced copywriter with a strong portfolio across multiple formats and channels
Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with limited direction
Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Highly skilled at simplifying complex topics, particularly financial concepts
Curious and AI-literate, with an interest in using new tools to work more efficiently
A strong collaborator who communicates clearly and works well with cross-functional partners
Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of your work end to end
Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to make trade-offs based on impact
Comfort working autonomously without always having a detailed brief or defined process
Resilience and adaptability when plans change
Sound editorial judgment and a high bar for quality
Enthusiasm for experimentation, testing, and continuous improvement
