We are looking for a skilled Copywriter/Proofreader to join a contract opportunity. This position will create persuasive, audience-focused content that supports marketing initiatives, strengthens brand presence, and communicates complex topics with clarity. The role works closely with creative, product, and marketing partners to shape messaging across print and digital channels while maintaining high editorial standards.
Job Responsibility:
Proofreading & Editing: Review high-volume marketing materials, landing pages, emails, and PDFs for spelling, punctuation, grammar, and syntax errors
Copywriting/Refining: Edit complex financial and health jargon into plain-English, customer-centric copy that drives action
Brand & Style Consistency: Maintain and enforce corporate brand voice guidelines, ensuring a cohesive feel across all communication channels
Collaboration with Design: Work with designers to ensure copy fits layout constraints, checking for formatting, spacing, and image caption accuracy
Regulatory Compliance: Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure all financial and health benefits copy complies with regulations
Fact-Checking: Verify that all data, including dates, rates, and legal disclaimers, are accurate
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, Communications, or a related field preferred
3–5 years of experience in copywriting, editing, or related creative content development
Demonstrated ability to turn detailed or technical information into concise, engaging, and audience-appropriate messaging
Strong proofreading and editing skills with careful attention to grammar, punctuation, consistency, and style
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in marketing, design, or product-focused environments
Portfolio or writing samples required, ideally including work within financial services or health benefits-related industries
Solid research skills and the ability to apply brand voice guidelines across multiple content types and channels
