Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Copy Clerk to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in a large-scale project focused on scanning and processing books efficiently. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who excel in detail-oriented tasks and enjoy working in a structured environment.

Job Responsibility:

Operate scanning equipment to digitize books as part of a large-scale processing project
Ensure the accuracy and quality of scanned documents by performing regular checks
Handle books with care during the scanning process, including breaking spines when necessary
Dispose of materials properly after scanning in compliance with project guidelines
Maintain consistent productivity to meet monthly scanning targets
Stand for extended periods while managing scanning workflows
Organize scanned files systematically for easy retrieval and record-keeping
Collaborate with team members to optimize scanning procedures and resolve any operational issues
Adhere to safety protocols and equipment handling standards
Report progress and issues to supervisors regularly

Requirements:

Previous experience in document scanning, mailroom operations, or similar office tasks
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all scanned materials
Ability to work efficiently while standing for extended periods
Familiarity with operating scanning equipment and handling physical documents
Basic organizational skills for managing scanned files and workflow
Capable of meeting productivity goals in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
