Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Content Distribution, the Coordinator, Social Media is responsible for supporting the planning, creation, publishing, and day-to-day management of the company’s social media channels. Working closely with the broader marketing and content teams, this role brings the excitement of live horseracing across multiple platforms while promoting wagering offerings and lifestyle content. The ideal candidate is digitally savvy, detail-oriented, and passionate about sports, entertainment, and storytelling through social media.
Job Responsibility:
Publish and manage daily content across all corporate social media channels, covering racing action, wagering information, promotions, and lifestyle storytelling
Assist in the development and execution of social media content calendars aligned with live race days, marquee events, and marketing campaigns
Ensure all wagering-related content adheres to regulatory, responsible gaming, and brand guidelines
Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages in a timely, brand-appropriate manner
Support the creation and optimization of short-form content including graphics, photos, video clips, and captions
Support Sr. Manager, Content Distribution to track and report on social media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement
Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices relevant to sports, wagering, and lifestyle audiences
Assist with on-site content capture during live race days and special events as required
Collaborate closely with internal teams (Content Production, Creative, and Communications) to align storytelling and ensure content is optimized for external audiences
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field
2–4 years of experience managing or supporting brand social media accounts (sports or entertainment experience considered an asset)
Familiarity with graphic design software is a major asset (ie. Canva, Photoshop, etc.)
Strong understanding of major social platforms (e.g., Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube) and their content formats
Familiarity with horseracing, sports wagering, or regulated gaming environments is preferred
Excellent written communication skills with an eye for tone, timing, and audience engagement
Basic experience with social media management and analytics tools
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support live racing schedules
Nice to have:
Familiarity with graphic design software is a major asset (ie. Canva, Photoshop, etc.)
Familiarity with horseracing, sports wagering, or regulated gaming environments is preferred
