Manages activities of the Clinical Nutrition area to ensure that the nutritional needs of patients and the standards of nutritional care are maintained.
Job Responsibility:
Determines, coordinates and manages daily staffing assignments and productivity
Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff
Completes performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
Collaborates with Food Service team, as well as medical, nursing, and allied health staff for a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
Assesses patients' nutritional status and needs
Develops and implements care plans, monitors patients' progress and updates interventions
Conducts periodic chart audits
Develops, revises, and implements departmental policies/procedures and quality initiatives
Plans and coordinates nutrition services goals in collaboration with department leadership
Requirements:
Masters (Required)
Dietitian/Nutritionist License (ND LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required for those individuals that are registered or have established eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians on or before December 31, 2023
A minimum of a master’s degree is required for those seeking eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians for the first time, on or after January 1, 2024
