The Aviation Program Coordinator serves as a crucial team member within the Eastern Kentucky University Aviation School of Aviation (EKU-A), supporting the operational, administrative, and technical functions of the flight training program. This role requires a strategic blend of aviation expertise, administrative proficiency, and technological acumen to ensure seamless program operations, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional student experience.
Job Responsibility:
Spearhead the development, revision, and implementation of the Flight Lab Policy Manual
Make recommendations for flight lab enrollments and oversee the processing of flight lab completion documentation and grade change forms
Design and execute streamlined procedures for enrolling EKU-A students in flight labs
Provide advanced technical support for critical EKU-A systems, including Slate and Flight Schedule Pro (FSP)
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for Slate
Manage the flight gear store
Facilitate program orientations and airport tours
Monitor and respond to inquiries received through the EKU-A program’s main email
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelors required
Minimum one-year experience required
responsible clerical, customer service or administrative support preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets
Nice to have:
Qualifications such as Private, Instrument, and Commercial Pilot would be ideal, or that of CFI
