The role sits within the Chief Academic Services Office (CASO), responsible for student services and external engagement including industry engagement, international and research partnerships, careers & placement, library services and student wellbeing The coordinator – CASO Office will provide structured executive and academic administrative support to enable effective academic operations and governance delivery. This role requires sound judgement, discretion, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, international academic environment. The postholder will act as a key coordination point between academic leadership, professional services teams, and University of York UK counterparts.
Job Responsibility:
Provide diary management, meeting coordination, and scheduling support
Track action points and ensure timely follow-up
Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and official correspondence
Maintain confidential documentation with discretion
Support coordination with University of York UK academic and professional teams
Assist in organising visits, cross-campus meetings, and collaborative initiatives
Coordinate documentation for partnerships and academic exchanges
Support planning and execution of academic events, panels, leadership visits, and institutional engagements
Liaise with operations and facilities teams to ensure seamless execution
Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders
Support preparation of governance documentation and institutional updates for CASO functions
Maintain organised filing systems and process documentation
Assist in tracking institutional timelines and deliverables
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
Master’s degree preferred
3–6 years of experience in executive support, academic administration, or institutional coordination
Experience within higher education, international organisation or a professional services environment preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills aligned to global standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
High ownership and accountability
